Artificial grass in Penryn has to fit around rock. Penryn, about five and a half miles northeast of Rocklin at roughly 627 feet, grew around the granite quarry Griffith Griffith opened in 1864. Penryn granite, with its mottled black-and-white look, is in the California State Capitol and the old U.S. Mint in San Francisco. Working with boulders
We cut artificial grass tight around natural boulders so the rock looks like it belongs, and adjust base depth where rock is near the surface. Small loose rock is removed so the base compacts evenly.
